Latest Verizon Radio and ROM
 

Say, after reading all the postings about folks with Sprint and Altel phones, I was wondering - what about all the folks with Verizon Wireless...?! Will anyone be cooking a ROM or kitchen just for folks like us...?? Will Verizon ever offer a 6.1 ROM...??

have you tried the ppcgeeks kitchen and cooking your own? I've had great success both with the xv6700 and now with the xv6900 (including working gps).

to add on to your question - i just tried to upgrade to 3.35 radio and now it reboots and then stops at the Verizon splash screen. What's the correct radio to use for Verizon to enable one of the GPS kitchen ROMs? link? Thanks.

Try removing the battery and hard reset after replacing it.

Just read the sticky on how to upgrade.

My guess is you need to unlock and flash a gps rom now.

there are tons of posts about verizon already... i'm not sure why you think there is more about altel here then verizon.

The official verizon rom is testing now. shouldn't be long before it is either leaked or released. I have heard gps may not be included however the radio will be gps capable.

It's actually out of testing, and a few people on these forums already have it but cannot release it to us. Verizon is just waiting for the "right time" to release it. I hate this

6800 rom ONLY!!!! go to verizon's site or utstarcom and upgrade to the new 6.1... it's avail.able
