Dialer ## Codes Fix

After a nice find by Dan-htc-touch early this morning, during a night of trying to find working dialers for the newer kitchen bases, we have got this fix for the ## Codes in a few of the dialers so far. Simply install this cab, reset the device and the codes will work on the following dialers:

HTC Diamond Dialer
HTC DualTouch Dialer
HTC Vogue Dialer

Dialer ## Code Fix Cab Here

The registry entry it affects is the following:

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DialParser]
"DLL-OEM"="file_name.dll"
(Entry gets changed to Phonecanvas.dll)
This may also effect the way 911 calls work on the device. I have found that with the HTC Diamond Dialer when dialing 911, the device will "seem" to lock up for about 2 seconds, beep 3 times then connect the call. On ending the call, signal stays at 1X until the phone is turned off and back on by use of the Comm manager or the device is reset.

Re: Dialer ## Codes Fix

You can add the iPhone dialer w/ETPhone.dll smartdial fix to the list that it works with.

Still doesn't beep 3 times and reboot automatically after *228 tho.

Re: Dialer ## Codes Fix

Just my luck. They still don't work for my phone with vogue dialer.

Thanks, I'm sure that I am doing something wrong.

Re: Dialer ## Codes Fix

I have VZW. Normally ##778 takes me to EPST but now I have to dial ##778# like Sprint users do. Any Idea what may cause that. I am using the Stock dialer with the colonels skin that Dan put out. I hav not made any changes yet. Can I just make the registry change myself without using the cab or does the cab instal a missing .dll?

Re: Dialer ## Codes Fix

I made a cab of the Dual Touch Dialer OEM from NO2Chem. When I install this cab I still have no ## functions.

My ROM is DCD based and the OEM WM6.1 Dialer and Smartdial are what I cook into it. I'm not too worried about the codes because I also made a cab to install all the programming shortcuts to my start menu.

Try looking at HKLM\Services\PhoneExt\KeyProgram. There are two String keys, Postfix and Prefix. These are the characters you need to dial prior to (Prefix) and after (Postfix) the EPST code. Both of my keys have the value "#" (I'm on Sprint) and I can only assume Verizon only has the Prefix key populated.

See what your's are....for some reason, maybe the Postfix key got populated with a "#" value.
