I'm using the same computer as always with WMDC on vista installed. I didn't change anything on the computer. It syncs properly. PDAnet works but I just can't get ICS to work.

Re: Can't get tethering to work with 3.56
How does the file you posted do anything for tethering?
The title of the thread your link points to says "Re: Voicemail Alerts on 3.56!" I think you need to recheck your link... |

Re: Can't get tethering to work with 3.56
I've been able to use tethering using my phone as a modem through bluetooth, but now it connects and takes me to Verizon's "To Buy Broadband Access, dial blah blah blah" page. Once I do this, I have to call Verizon and have my phone reprovisioned, otherwise even when I try to surf using PIE on the phone, it still goes to that page. I assume that it has to do with MultiNAI, but I've made all the changes to disable MultiNAI (at last everything that I used to do prior to 20226)

Re: Can't get tethering to work with 3.56
May seem silly, but make sure the phone is selected as the modem in your dialup connection settings.
I 've had the phone recognized as a new device after a flash before, which means I needed to set the new instance of the phone as the modem, otherwise it wouldn't connect. |

Re: Can't get tethering to work with 3.56
Will you go into your registry and verify that the value of "ForceCellConnection" at HKLM/Comm/Internet Sharing/Settings is "Sprint PCS" ? Alternatively, you can delete that key altogether, and you will again have the ICS drop down box where you can choose. For convenience, I usually just set the key to Sprint PCS.
There may also be an extension pointing at isext.dll in HKLM/Comm/Internet Sharing. That can be deleted that as well. If all of that is already set as it should be, then you shouldn't be having any issues on the phone side. Can you connect over BT or Wifi (via WMWiFiRouter) using Internet Sharing? |
