I think this new updated rom causes phone to lockup every time I try to uninstall or delete file from storage card, does anyone have any problem with this rom? I'd been using the same rom 3.56 leaked by DCD and I'd never had any problem until I reinstalled this new updated rom this morning. I believe it is the same rom leaked by DCD month ago but phone never lockup like this new rom.

Winzip is telling me that file is corrupt, but I did a little more investigation and I found another version of the HTC Home Plug-in that is working for me. If anyone else is having the same problem you can download it here.

So I downloaded the new ROM, but I a scared to start the upgrade because my laptop is junk. I tried to upgrade to the leaked ROM and at about 64% my computer went to the blue screen of death and bricked my phone. Is there a way to flash this ROM via SD card?

OK I'm REAL noobish so this will probably piss you guys off.

I'm trying to load this new ROM, the one I have currently is the 2.09 or whatever right out of the box. It gets to 11% and then it stops and gets stuck on the rainbow bootload deal. Then I run the titan_exitbl.exe and the phone starts up fresh like it's been reset to factory default. Am I missing a step?

I have done some searching and I've found bits of info like my "radio" may not be up to date or that I need to try and do it from the SD card. Perhaps I'm searching wrong or just not finding the right info. Can any of you super gurus help a brother out?

EDIT: okay I just went to the thread that's linked in the post directly above this post about flashing from the SD card and I honestly just think I'm too stupid to do that. I'll screw it up for sure. Is that my only option here?

EDIT AGAIN: Okay somehow I missed the "Easy guide to upgrading" thread. I see I need to do some reading there.

It looks like HTC is getting ready for Monday's release. If you downloaded the RUU on the web page today you will find that the ROM is the old 2.17 version. Probably just testing the servers.

Folks, it all depends on when you try to download -- I've been running the "leaked official" ROM since DCD uploaded it a few weeks back, but decided to grab it again from the HTC site for comparison... I downloaded the HTC site ROM about three hours ago and got the same file that DCD had posted last month...

The webmasters at HTC might be still working on the site, but the 3.56 ROM has been available, at least at times, from the HTC site since last night...

I can confirm this also, I've seen the new page appear then hours later disappear from the HTC website. I'm running the new ROM this evening.

Question for anyone running the new ROM, on the backlight settings page, I no longer have the incremental controls for the level of brightness, is anyone else experiencing this?
