If you change the "Show on title bar: Clock" to "Show on title bar: Battery" within Advanced Configuration, the battery icon that shows on the title bar is messed up. If you select the icon with the stylus yo get an error message: "The file 'powerexe' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or resotring this file."

1. Open Advanced Configuration
2.
Change the "Show on title bar: Clock" to "Show on title bar: Battery"
3. Reboot phone and icon is messed up.
4. Select the icon with the stylus and receive error message.

I would like the option to remove the clock and use the battery icon, but currently it is messed up.

Could be wrong, but this might be a problem that Schap can help ya fix. Advanced Configuration is not one of no2's tools (he wisely includes it in his roms), but created by Schap @ xda (I don't see his username here @ ppcgeeks):

Maybe you might find the problem reported in that thread, or if not ask there for some help? Worth a shot.

I think that the solid data arrows are a result of the dialer being used - some of them break the functionality of the active/passive data indicator on CDMA phones. Which is also why ## codes are broken, and why no2chem put an EPST config shortcut in the advanced config folder. I would be interested in having the data arrows function correctly though. I kind of miss that. I wonder if the dialer itself needs to be swapped, or if it is just some kind of configuration that needs to be changed.

I'm postive this is the case, being that I've tested it on several occasions. When my phone (regardless of rom) is in the process of sending or receiving data, calls are routed to voicemail. This is the same for two co-workers of mine who have the same phone on the same network. Speaking of network, ours doesn't even offer evdo yet (though it seems to be configured for it) so I'm wondering if there is an issue with the settings from our carrier.

I think the issue (as already stated) is related to the HTC Home plugin. The plugin puts the battery indicator in the title bar regardless of rom so I'm thinking perhaps its conflicting with whatever icon advanced config/nurom is using.

Once a data connection is established the phone will not put the data into standby, once data is no longer being retrieved (the arrows above the signal bars stay solid white and do not gray out). This prevents phone calls from being received, sending all incoming calls to voicemail.

1. Open Outlook
2. Send/Receive
3. Data connection stays active untill killed in comm manager or rebooting.

I expected the phone to put data into standby when not actively sending or receiving.

thanks for clarifying all that, yes, I suspect it's the carrier, but I also wonder that, if there is an issue with data pwr mgt, that could be the battery hit ppl seem to have.

edit; you can have the data disconnected if no activity for x=min in schaps advanced config

It doesn't happen on fresh boot when I have 20+ free only when it starts to run under about 15 or so.....

Has there been any progress getting this fixed? Much older builds of nuerom did not have this problem....

I just wanted everyone to know that after upgrading to 2.2 v6 and v8, all my calls were deverted to voicemail. and all my text messages and alerts coming in were delayed a few hours. Everything going out was fine. I called alltel, and they ran diagnostics for a few hours and they said the issue was on there end. something about the dlr(can't remeber the term) was messed up on there end where they had to unregister me from the towers and reregister... anyways calling alltel fixed my problems.

You need to list the apps you're running; this has been a recurring problem with many builds, but many, including myself, found that RAM recovery apps such as Oxios, was the cause.

For me, Oxios was the culprit. I've since stopped using it, and no longer have the auto-closing problem.

Thanks for the advice...look a few pages back for my first post on the subject listing what apps are (were) running. I've switched to DCD's latest until the problem is somehow resolved.

Just out of curiosity, what programs are you running since you do not have the problem? I found the problem systemic and persistent regardless of what was installed. Even ONE program running would close itself at random times with 17MG or more of memory available.

no2chem 2.2pre8

Apps:
AE Button Plus
Shadowmite DTMFVibrate
ProkectION Pocket Digital Clock
Code North PocketIRC
A_C S2P
Spb Mobile Shell, Suite and Time
Google Maps
Sprint

Issue 1:
When in voice mail, notable lag (3-5 seconds) until commands are recognized. When system says "press one to hear message" i press one and the lag hit, then message is played. Same with all key entries in voice mail. Never had this problem before with any other versions.

Expected:
Same (no lag) as previous custom builds

Issue 2:
When i hold the power button phone asks me if i want to turn it off ok/cancel. I've lost the nue screen with multiple options. This happened after i installed most software. I am guessing it's the SPB stuff.

Expected:
Nue menu options.

Work around:
Soft reboot through pinhole.

Issue 3:Blue tooth is cutting in and out frequently, but it is still very usable. I notice i have more problems with it cutting in-n-out while walking than while on motorcycle. I have it paird with motorola S9 headphones.

Issue 4: Keyboard is still FUBAR. Typing slowly doesn't matter and it's getting more and more frustrating every day especially since grafitti doesn't come stock on this rom! arrrg :P
