Only problem is the obvious missing apps (gps blah blah blah ) and the factthat I cannot access the internet.

Can someone explain to me how I can get Android to get online? Cant use maps or Browser... :( :(

I need it so i can win a bet against a friend who has a HTC Dream.

You can get online by pulling up the menu on the home screen and clicking on Togga program (the last program for me) Once the program starts click connect and then you are online.

Does anyone know where you can download Android applications to put on the SD card? or at least somewhere to download the Android Market to see if it works on the device?

ill try that out when i get a chance (im at work risking getting fired) i jsut had a question... i barely have thigns installed on my phone, and i havent seen any comments regarding to the speed of the actual android during use. When i use it, it seems to lag.. and i always make sure to have lots of ram freed up. anyway to make android work quicker? i have huge lag

Android is always much speedier and more responsive than WinMob for me. My problems are that Android is optimized for VGA devices and the absence app store.

Question: Can anyone log into Google services? Such as, sync their Google contacts with the Contacts application?

If you notice, the thread title says "on TITAN". Touch Pro is a radically different set of hardware, and will need a version of Android with the proper set of drivers.
I'm not sure if anyone's successfully done that yet, but either way don't use the files found here.

Hey guys. Me again. Been playing quite a bunch with Android. I downloaded Opera Mini directly to the phone through the default browser. Is there any site to download apps from?

Wow, I'm bleeding speechless. Thanks to all who worked hard on this. Thanks to all who had the foresight to post their findings.

I've got everything that is currently supposed to be working, working. With the exception of internet. Now, mind you, I'm on cricket so...?

Anyone have thoughts? I tried loading up both Opera and IE on WinMo os prior to booting Android. I also established my data connection was active prior to botting. No dice. I used Togga, and it states I have an active connection, but browser and maps do not function. Thoughts?

I edited the default.txt so that user was mynumber@mycricket.com and pw was cricket (which is what I have to do to get data con on WinMo).

What version did you use the first time?

i used the site from the original post. just downloaded the package from this site:
http://magister.ipsys.net/projects/android-for-titan/

and it works ok. obviously stuff needs to be tweaked, particularly touches and dpad.

trying to get my data conneciton up now, do i need to edit the default.txt and put in my data info or will initiating the connection befor eluanching be enough?

I use exchange push so it should be up pretty soon after the phone is booted.

edit: got internet up with togga
