I'm not sure if anyone's successfully done that yet, but either way don't use the files found here.

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
Hey guys. Me again. Been playing quite a bunch with Android. I downloaded Opera Mini directly to the phone through the default browser. Is there any site to download apps from?

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
Wow, I'm bleeding speechless. Thanks to all who worked hard on this. Thanks to all who had the foresight to post their findings.
I've got everything that is currently supposed to be working, working. With the exception of internet. Now, mind you, I'm on cricket so...? Anyone have thoughts? I tried loading up both Opera and IE on WinMo os prior to booting Android. I also established my data connection was active prior to botting. No dice. I used Togga, and it states I have an active connection, but browser and maps do not function. Thoughts? I edited the default.txt so that user was mynumber@mycricket.com and pw was cricket (which is what I have to do to get data con on WinMo). |

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
i used the site from the original post. just downloaded the package from this site:
http://magister.ipsys.net/projects/android-for-titan/ and it works ok. obviously stuff needs to be tweaked, particularly touches and dpad. trying to get my data conneciton up now, do i need to edit the default.txt and put in my data info or will initiating the connection befor eluanching be enough? I use exchange push so it should be up pretty soon after the phone is booted. edit: got internet up with togga Last edited by loudog3114; 01-12-2009 at 09:08 PM. |

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
have downloaded from massey and get same result as WtfBurdo . tried site from next posting. downloadded , unzipped and installed on 4gig card slotted in ran haret and yeh after a few moments had android up and running. following worked well, touch screen , wifi , phone , clock and alarm clock, picture search (which displays far better than in winders 6.1).could not connect to 3g service (with verizon), although letter keys worked well on slide-out keyboard , numbers didnot, makes logging in to mail a no-go. browser on wifi worked well, better that internet explorer. camera did not work, bluetooth did not work. applications requiring network connection ,except the browser, did not work. so all in all have to say heading in the right dirrection and close , very close. nice job ,folks!
