/bin/sh: Cant access tty; Job control turned off.

Any ideas on how to get around this?

Try a different SD card. The 2gb card I normally keep in there didn't work, but when I tried a back up, it worked just fine. Both were formatted the exact same way, etc. It has to be the cards - not as much how they're formatted.

I tried the stock sandisk 512, and a Lexar 1GB. Both formatted FAT32, both didn't work.

Are you putting the data and system files in the top level of the storage card?

Do you mean in H:\Storage Card\*.* ?

If so, then yes.

I mean, so that when you use file explorer to view the contents of your storage card, the files are right there in the top level and not in any folder. The other files can be in a folder. Did you download the most recent zip file, which allows you to use hc cards?

Yeah, they're right at the top, not in any folders. I have all six files from the latest zip there - the one dated 7/24.

Hmm.. I've had no problems with my 4gig card formatted to fat32.

Just reporting in....successful boot using the latest files on the Sandisk 512Mb card that came with the Mogul, formatted to fat32. I formatted the card in a USB MicroSD card reader plugged into a Windows Vista laptop and copied the files to the card using the usb reader as well...if that matters. Thanks to all for the tips on calibrating the screen and making sure to have a active data connection before loading it up. So far I have:

Sent/Receive dtext messages
Browsed the internet
Used the Map app

Couldn't seem to initiate a call and I didn't try receiving one. Maybe tomorrow...getting tired now. Overall this is waaay farther along than I expected. The interface in interesting and the browser shows promise. Could be a brave new work if the brainiacs can keep kicking this along! Good fun :)

Sprint Mogul with the standard 3.56.651.0 ROM installed with Sprint customizations, about 21-22 Mb RAM free when booting Android.
