Well I know on 19588, I needed to add this file to get it to work. I've got it in my personal oem now, so not sure if its still needed or not, but worth a shot. Get this zip and add the included file to \windows:

ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.zip

Hmm, I had to create that value, maybe that is why my default contacts don't work. But even after creating that default contacts still don't come up.

No, that won't do anything with the stock contact manager besides add the Area Code to it. If you want to change back to stock contact manager change the value 1 in following key to this:

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS]
"1"=":MSPOUTLOOK contacts"

it would be set now to the path of your other contact manager- Photo Contacts Pro

No Dialer is working properly for me. Uploaded are two pictures of what my dialer looks like. I built my rom twice, once with the silver dialer, and the second time with the Touch dialer by Paul Hammons (not the colonel dialer.) Both times, my results were similar. It is as if a skin is active, but not functional, the buttons are not actually located where the picture shows.
The second picture, with the white button in the middle, is me pressing the 5. That is where it is actually located.
I tried installing the Bluefrog Touch Dialer over the OEM paul hammons dialer to see if it would fix it, but it didn't change anything at all.

Yes dialers are a known issue with this base. If you want, you can disable the phone skin with this reg entry:

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin]
"Enabled"=dword:00000001

yes it is currently. But that doesn't explain why default contacts didn't work on a fresh flash without installing photo contacts pro. I tried to open default contacts before installing PCP too and didn't get anything either. I noticed another thread where someone had the same problem but didn't post there since I had already posted here. It's not an issue for me since I use PCP and I'm sure most others use something else too.

I like this one. I created an OEM and installed it with the kitchen. Works great! The 'call' key on the main screen is also the 'end' key when you are in a call. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396505

I had that problem also, I just loaded an iPhone-style CDMA dialer from xda-devs, works great, looks nice and has working SmartDialing.
