Returning Phone, Need Help
 

Hi everyone. I am returning my mogul to sprint within my 30 days trial. When I got it it came with winmo 6.0, and i followed the easy guide to upgrade (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17667) and flashed it with 6.1 cooked or something. I followed that guide step by step.

What I need to know now is what do I have to do to get the phone back to factory rom/settings? Do I have to relock the phone? I dont even really understand what locking/unlocking does, I just followed that guide. If anyone here can help me I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

you need to reflash back to an oem rom before returning it or you will not get a return on the purchase price...

Do I need to relock it or something? Is there anything else I need to do besides reflash it to an OEM rom?

Also what exactly is an OEM rom? I need a little more help, im sort of retarded with this stuff. Do you know anywhere there is a step by step guide to flash back to this oem rom?

OEM basically means original equipment manufacturer...basically its a rom build by sprint i provided you with a link to the oem roms

so do i have to reflash the radio rom back? should I just follow the steps i used to flash in the first place, but replace the roms with oem roms?

Also should i use the OS only sprint rom, or the GPS sprint rom?

Step 1 if you have the olipro bootloader install nueSPL over it

step 2 download the latest sprint rom from HTC's website, it is a gps rom

step 3 relock the phone using nuespl

hard reset

you could just reflash the oem rom, but if for some reason they look at the bootloader (they probably wont) you wont be able to return it. but seriously its only a couple minutes extra work.
