Re: Problem reactivating phone after flashing
I don't have Alltel but I am a Sprint Employee and I have noticed this issue on several of the titans/moguls after a software download. It's typically a quick fix. It will not take any ## codes. Customer support thought this issue was something with the account but it's never been. Typically if you give the phone about 45 mins to an hour and then do a hard reset, hold stylus in the reset button and press both soft keys at the same time, it will reset your phone keeping the same rom you just flashed and then after all the initial uploading you should be able to program the phone. Hopefully this helps with your problem.

Re: Problem reactivating phone after flashing
I used to have this problem with my 6700, but I thought it was just because it was a Verizon phone & I flashed it for use on the Alltel network after I switched carriers. I never needed to do the over-the-air programming anyway, I just uploaded the correct alltel prl into it and was usually fine. You could always flash the official Alltel rom to see if it does the same thing, & if everything works ok try flashing your custom rom from scratch using the kitchen again...

Re: Problem reactivating phone after flashing
Go to http://corolada.com/prl/ to download the correct prl. The most recent prl for your phone is 3031. Some will say to download prl 4036 to allow roaming on Sprint's Evdo data network. I personally had connectivity issues with this prl, so I use 3031. Here's the download link:
http://corolada.com/prl/alltel/30031.prl On a side note, is your phone an Alltel phone? Shouldn't matter, but like I said, I thought part of my problems with my Apache was that I was using a Verizon phone on the Alltel network, and even though I flashed the phone with an Alltel rom, it somehow still retained some verizon settings, and tended to revert to them when I dialed *228. It screwed my data settings up like crazy. Had to go into the EPST settings to edit the security settings from @vzw.com to @alltel.net, and the passwords from verizon to alltel. |

Re: Problem reactivating phone after flashing
Thank you so much for your help tenthirty. I finally got my phone all set. I figured out what the problem was as well. Turns out I messed up and let the Sprint ROM change all my EPST settings and it also changed the MSL # from the normal 000000. But with some help from the Qualcomm QPST tool I was able to set it back to 000000.
