Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
called Vzw and they gave me a new A Key and everything seems to be working much better. Now time to figure out how to get wireless sync working with this rom - or if I'll have to go to a different one - that'd be a pain after all this.
Mucho Gracias Amigo. |

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
Is it easy to bounce between different ROM images? Is it just as simple as putting it on the SD card as TITAIMG and doing the power/camera reset?
BTW - I found a wireless sync page at http://ota.wsync.com/ that has most of the CABs for different devices. Just loaded the 6800 one. Will try to setup shortly. I upgraded to spl2.47. Also I tried to upgrade the radio to 3.42.30 and that failed - both with the executable - error 328 - invalid command after getting to 8%. Also tried putting on the SD card as the TITAIMG and restarting in the bootloader and that did not work either. Any thoughts? |

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
Current radio is at 3.35.04 - it's the one from the Sprint ROM. On the SD attempt it just went to the spl screen and appeared to do nothing - soft reset and it booted like normal.
Wireless Sync is setup - that went easy - got my acorn for the day. So, if I decide to try out some of the other ROMs out there, how much of a pain in the arse is it going to be? |

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
after the first one, you've pretty much done the painful stuff. I can pretty much change my rom every 20 minutes including download time now. if your radio works, and you can get your gps up then dont worry about upgrading the radio untill you get a few easy flashes under your belt.
Im a guy by the way (saw your other post) all you really need to do is put the nbh file on yoru sd card, name it TITAIMG.nbh and go into bootloader. after that run the carrier cab and you should be good to go. |

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
Ok frisco I just read this whole thread a have seen your progress, congrats on taking the leap. I too have Verizon. Just to let you know I ran the 2.42.30 Radio on my device and it works fine. You can actually store a bunch of ROMs in a folder and move it from the folder to the root of the card, rename it and flash it. Of course you would want to rename it to the original name and put it back in the folder. ROM'S on the run. If you have any questions on Verizon shoot me a PM and zI will try to answer you back ASAP.
