Verizon ROM. Any rumors when?

Has ANYONE been told anything by a Verizon rep as to if, or when we'll see an official release rom for our xv6800s?

i was in one of the VZW stores a week ago and asked one of the peeps who had no real idea. He said they were going through Windows Mobile 6.1 training some time in the next few months and that it probably won't be available until after they are familiar with it =\

Just curious, has there every been a Verizon ROM update for either the Mogul or Touch?

Verizon has a better network. But that being said, where would Mogul/Touch users be without Sprint ROMs/Radios?

No, there was never an update for those, but Verizon did finally relase an update for the Apache. (Although it wasn't till they were about to completely discontinue the phone)

I don't know about your area, but in my area (the north east) thay are equal if Sprint is not better. And people say Sprint is bad (they are in their own ways, don't get me wrong, but still.)

This is not a joke... I heard from my sister's husband's cousin's neighbor who works at the mall in the calendar kiosk that is adjacent to the GAP where a sales lady who is divorced from a former security guard that used to work at the bank where the new tech support guy at the verizon store on 5th street has his checking account, that when she asked him about the latest news he heard about a new verizon rom for the xv6800, he said he didn't have any idea what she was talking about and she was violating the restraining order. He did recommend that we make this a 200 page post that wastes everyone's time.

OK, that was hillarious! I wasn't "officially" trying to waste anyones time, I was just curious. I know some of our members actually DO work for some of the carriers and sometimes offer pretty sound insight as to plans.

Yeah, I was just kidding about the wasting time thing, but you know how these topics tend to go out of control... personally I'd rather see verizon focus on getting the raphael out instead of a new mogul rom.

I hear sometime in 2011, they should be getting the touch pro aka raphael around 2012 also... I also hear the case for the touch pro will be even more retro-80s and cheap plastic looking than the xv6800...
