can you flash the new rom without active/syncing?

something is wrong with my ability to active sync and since i want to flash the new rom is there a way to bypass the active sync connection? just hard reset hoping to be able to active sync..no dice..any input is appreciated

Yes there is ! it's called Flashing from the SD card.
heres some homework for you in this thread HERE.

short of it is, you need a NON high capacity SD card, less than 1gb....
