Unhappy XV6800 Upgrade Issues

I was able to get my phone to upgrade using the post, but now I am having a major issue. When I turn my phone on, it connects to Sprint PCS towers instead of Verizon. I cannot get any data right now either!!!!!

Anyway here is what I did
I ran the HARD SPL
Then I installed the Titan Radio 3.35
Then I installed the Sprint ROM and did not let it program
Then I installed the DCD 2.3.2 Verizon
NO GOOD

Then I reran the HARD SPL and Tried to Run the TITAN RADIO but it is telling me that it cannot install after 10%
Gave up and tried another TITAN RADIO version I had, same issue

Did all the above again minus the Sprint ROM and went right to the DCD2.3.2 SAME

The phone seems to be working, but I have no idea if the GPS is because I cannot get online. I tried to do a ##778 and edit this area, but it asks for a code, which is normally 000000, and it is saying invalid.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated before i have to take this back to Verizon and get a new phone (because I cannot even get it to go back to normal)..

Re: XV6800 Upgrade Issues

Hey Ryan,

Check this thread out over at XDA Developers, it explains someone who went through what you did, and exlpains better on how to do the *228 option 1 to establish your connection to Verizon. Read the third page, it's got a lot of good info. I think once this gets done, you'll be smooth sailing

Call me if you need to, and I can over to your crib and check it out with you.

When I try to dial a *228 and update it wont let me. Also Verizon refuses to give me an AKEY, they said I dont need it.

Call again. Tell them you did a hard reset and they will get you the A key.

Re: XV6800 Upgrade Issues

You could also try dialing #2539 and see what happens? That's what they had me doing last night when they were resetting my phone.

Re: XV6800 Upgrade Issues

Don't ask for the A-Key. Just call and tell them you hard reset and now your phone is giving errors. Jump through a few hoops with them and they will get to that point.

For mine all I needed to do was shut off the phone, then the tech made a change, and I turned it back on and it was working. No typing involved.
