Re: xv6800 connection issue
I tried installing 3.39 from your link and it gets to 11% and says error 328 invalid command , this cannot be used for your pda phone. IU2. I have performed *228 options one and two, spent at least an hour on the phone with verizon troubleshooting and gotten a new A-Key. It seems anything other than the verizon stock radio has this delay issue...

Re: xv6800 connection issue
Did anything solve it? I'm having the same issue. I got an A-Key after I flashed 5067 and everything was fine for 2 days. After a soft reset last night, it started again. Takes 30 mins to acquire a signal. I'm on 3.35 radio and would rather not reflash. Everything is solid except the signal acquisition time.
I did *228 option 1 and 2. Still taking 30 mins. Who else is having this issue and has there been a proven resolution? Any help appreciated! |

Re: xv6800 connection issue
Honestly I was in the same boat and I did nothing to resolve it. The only thing different on my 6800 is that I installed Microsoft Voice command and SPB shell. I am sorry I can not be more helpful. I could not find anything to change to resolve it.

Re: xv6800 connection issue
I found the fix and not sure who to thank, but it worked perfect! Mods, please please sticky this solution for verizon users...
There's a whole thread devoted to this right here somwhere... You need to do the following: phone app, dial *22803 or *22802 (whichever one gets you a signal) and hit phone hang-up when you get a signal and it says it's starting to program. Now that you have a signal do the next step. phone app, dial ##778 select "EDIT" and enter the 000000 unlock code select "VIEW INFO" and select "M.IP Settings" Edit MIP_MODE and change to something else, then go back and change it again back to "Mobile IP Preferred". Do the smae for MIP reg retried, retry timeout and pre-registration timeout. Change all the values, ok, then change them again back to the original setting. Settings are: Mob IP Pref, 2 retries, 1750ms retry timeout, 0 pre-reg timeout. When you're all done save and exit - soft-resets your phone. You should be good after this. Good luck! Verified fix for slow signal acquisition on xv6800. Note that after 1st cooked rom from the verizon stock, you still need an A-Key. This fix will correct the signal issue if it starts happening after a few days. |
This post has been thanked 1 times. |

Re: xv6800 connection issue
The M. IP setting fixed my slow acqusition issue about a month ago (must have found the same thread referenced above) and do be sure to change the values, and then change them back again.
