chem's 5067 - hang on boot
 

For the first time today I had a rom not boot properly. I've read through all the threads and I don't see anyone else with this problem.

Here's what I've got.

1. New phone
2. put oli on it
3. went with 5060
4. went to 3.49 titan build
5. upgraded to 3.39 radio via sdcard
6. went to 5067

#6 will not go past the "2nd" boot screen. I have default animation selected in the build os. I've even tried using an animation in the place of default.

noteworthy: yes, removed battery and hard reset a few times.. nothing.

any ideas? meantime, i'm going back to 3.49 titan (non no2chem release)

oh, and teh 5067 updated through the updater this morning and I changed my selections manually to point to 5067 (as I've always done in the past with the 6700 and throughout the 6800 so far)

ps. i realize that it is pointing back to the titan 3.49 build.

Pull your battery. Wait 10 or 15 seconds. Put it back in and your phone should boot fine. This happens whenever you move from stock to a No2Chem rom.

i could be mistaken but isnt No2Chem 5067 based on the 3.49 radio? i dont think it would work if you are trying to use 3.39. But then again i could be wrong

hrm. I agree there is no 3.49 release. 3.39.10 is the highest so far. Odd that the battery pull didn't work.

Why did you install the stock/test 3.49 rom build and then install 3.39 radio via SD? The 3.49 build has the 3.39 radio in it. I have read that many people have had problems after running the radio only flash.

I would install the stock/test 3.49 rom and then upgrade back to 5067.

Did you hard reset after pulling the battery for at least 30secs? If you just pull the battery and soft reset, it may not work.

just to clarify, I did do a hard reset.

I'm back on 5060 and I'm going to try this new sprite backup from the makers of ghost -- they were a good programming team until symantec bought em up...

then I'm going to get back to 5067... I'll be sure to post my success story!~

I had the same issue with 5065, 5066(none kitchen) and now put on 5067 but haven't booted it yet.

It goes to the windows mobile screen but doesn't want load and when you pull out the keyboard you can see part of it loaded but frozen right?

My thought was this happens when i load theme changing stuff..but since your getting it without anything maybe it is an issue :/

Perhaps you should flash to the stock 3.49 rom, and then flash the no2chem one and then try hard reset after removing battery for a little... sometimes flashing the first time doesn't work and you have to reflash... it can be a pain in the *** sometimes, but it's usually worth it :P

flashing to stock 3.49 rom then applying the 5067 fixed the boot problem!
