I think most people that have tried to flash just the radio have run into problems. You're better off flashing the beta ROM, and then flashing back to whatever you were at before.

Its real easy to flash the radio using the SD card method. Less problematic than the RUU and you don't have to worry about the customizations running, etc. I upgraded the last two radios that way and you don't mess up your ROM and customizations.

Format a microSD card (same card as you use in phone) on your PC in FAT32 format...cluster size 1024. Do it in a DOS window on your PC. Once formatted...you place the radio or rom file you want to flash on your formatted SD card. Place it in the root directory of the card...not in a folder, etc. The file MUST be named TITAIMG.nbh. Place the card in your phone and put the phone in bootlader mode (power/camera/reset)...your phone will go into bootloader mode and then the screen will turn gray. The screen will show the name of your file (TITAIMG.nbh) and a small progress bar will show your phone updating the radio. When done...soft reset and your done.
