Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
folks this is great - many thanks. 3 questions please;
1) can you please give me the exact syntax in file explorer to run radiorefurbish? having a dumb moment after all the other "complicated" updates) 2) after I complete it, how can I tell that I am on the VZW network? thx |

Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
I'm not having any luck. I've updated my PRL to 51020 from Corolada.com. I've updated my msid. I've updated my mdn. I put RefurbishRadio.exe in the Windows directory and run it in RescoExplorer by clicking the right soft button, Run with the option /Refurbish and no go.
I can make calls and get txts but that's because I got a new a-key this morning. My phone still shows as roaming and says Preferred Network. All incoming calls say that they're an incoming roaming call. The only difference is that I'm running this against radio 3.37. |
Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
I can make/recieve calls now but it says Sprint PCS and *228 doesn't work?

Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
look at your epst.
go to nam settings.. make sure everything looks right mobile directory number= your 10 digit number min 1= your 7 digit # min2= your area code msid= your 10 digit number under M.ip default profile NAI should be your 10 digit number = 1234567890@vzw3g.com DUN NAI= (your 10 digit number)@dun.vzw3g.com now at the "display screen" make sure your ESN's are correct and also your msid is too under PRL make sure you have the newest prl file which is 51020 |
Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
coffey_joshua,
Not sure if my phone is different because I ported my number but the min1/min2 have always been a different phone number from my true number. All those numbers look right tho. |
Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
On my Mogul, how do I run ppst after installing the leaked ROM? I find the ppst file in the Windows directory, but it doesn't seem to be an executable file, at least not by clicking on it.

Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
Neither worked. For grins, I put radio 3.39 on and tried to run Radiorefurbish.exe /Refurbish from the Windows directory in RescoExplorer but nothing. I've tried changing the mdn to match my number which resulted in me not being able to make calls and still not being able to run Radiorefurbish.exe.
This is beyond frustrating. I'm going to go back to stock tomorrow if I can't get any further. |
Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
Hi folks,
I think I might have solved this issue. My Akey is blank when I look at it. I believe if you have a blank Akey you need to call VZW and have them re-send. I believe a hard reset is needed to do this, and then a new flash of a ROM works. Steve |
Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
If this helps I had the same problem after flashing my 6800 on Alltel. Reflashing hard resets PRL updates none of these fixed it. In the end I had to reactivate my phone with alltel, which is an over the air fix these days for alltel. So after about 8 flashes of different roms I stumbled across a forum, possibly this one it was a long day, and a lot of people have had this problem. Hope this helps, but i have no idea how to reactivate a phone on verizon... On alltel it is just *228 option 3 (2 is the prl update).

Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
That's what i was saying the PRL update did not work for me... Only reactivating it with alltel worked... Trust me I did about 15 PRL updates yesterday... and a ton of ROM flashes. Here are exact symptoms of the problem I had:
First I used ppckitchen to make a rom, after it was flashed my phone consistently thought it was roaming. I then flashed back to alltel's newest rom for the phone. This did not fix the problem. I then did a bunch of PRL updates and kept flashing it and hard resetting it, none of these fixed the problem. I set the phone to home only, it stopped roaming but the only thing that worked was the data plan no phone or text messaging. I then reactivated the phone with alltel, just like I did when I bought the phone. The phone received the programming rebooted and started working fine. |

Any help? |
Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
ok I have gotten it to work. I had to flash a officail rom then run it to make it work. Then the phone shows no connection and says no service. But the PRI does not revert back...what should I be doing next to make this work?

Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
I got it to work! I had installed a series of downgrades/upgrades to unlock my Touch's GPS (I'm with Verizon), but then my phone showed the roaming triangle at all times as well as the "Preferred System" text under the time.
After reading this thread, I set my PRL to the newest Verizon one by downloading the latest Nationwide PRL zip at the bottom of the first post and copying the files inside to my SD card, going to Start -> System Tools -> Phone Codes -> PRL -> (Menu) Edit -> choose PRL file. Curiously, the PRL field was empty before I set it. Anyway, after the reset, my phone picked up the VZW network and doesn't think that I'm roaming anymore. Yay! |
