nue update question?

I'm new to the mogul world and have a quick question. First off I'm loving the phone and need to learn alot about it. A friend of mine flashed it to no2chem 5055. My question is if I use the nueupdate will it give me no2chem's latest rom release and will it wipe everything off my mogul so i have to start all over. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you to all who help.
