Nah, the power of the read is weak with me, today.

I actually read and it is clear that he is pushing the WM6.1 approach, so it can't be the WWE RUU file. Not unless he breaks it apart and hex edits it to read as WM6.1 ... and I don't even know if it is that difficult or possible.

Hah! Sound like we better stop accepting new members into PPCGeeks for a bit... Do you think Microsoft really had no idea about this site before? Its really their fault that they release buggy WM software so that we have to dissect it to make it better. I'm pretty sure it won't stand in court no matter how expensive their lawyers are.

If they seriously try to take legal action, I'm dropping my support for Windows, I'll revoke my MCDST, MCSE, and MCDBA certs, and I'd move to Macs :shudders:

What he doesn't seem to understand is he is profiting off of Microsoft's work. Yes they will go after him and they will win. The kitchen is for individuals who wish to do personal testing on the (computer devices) that they own. Technically speaking you have every right to alter your personal computer in any which way u choose, what u do with it once it has been altered is where the issues come into play with warranty and legalities. I welcome any investigations from Microsoft as I have nothing to hide nor am I profiting off of copywritten works.

up2no6ood, so much talk about peoples grammar and spelling and such, lets start by your name come on now. your icons still suck, many many moons ago I was a graphic designer, I quit because of people like you. By your post I will assume you are a graphic designer. The kind that does horrible work, doesnt know color theory or anything about typography. talk about how much you "get paid for having skills most people lack" but charge $8/hour for design. pfffftttt

haha funny you took the time to go into my profile and find out stuff about me to try and say how little worth to this forum i have, if you need any more info just give me a shout.

do you know why i help so little on the forum? because people are stupid, no one reads, no one checks other posts, no one searches. people come in here and expect you to fix what they have broken.

keep saying that its great how this guy makes 10 grand by doing this. one day you will actually make something worth any real money and you'll see why that work shouldn't be anywhere but the place you made it for.
