Unless he managed to create his ROM without the use of a BuildOS.exe, it's illegal. In case you missed it, USING BUILDOS (any of them) IS NOT ALLOWED UNDER THE LICENSE TERMS FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES. The ROM is instrumental to the service being provided, so the BuildOS license applies. For the same reason, Microsoft could pursue. Even though you may only be performing a service, you are still bound by the licensing of the products integral to your service.

But seriously, if someone is willing to pay then y not.. i mean its a service, if u dont wanna take time to search and do for your self y not pay someone to do it.. i mean really. how many people here have paypal accounts and accept "donations" for their services ... building off of sprints rom isnt that kinda wrong if you didnt create it? i mean they Htc/sprint maybe saying the same thing about people here.. It has been discussed that one plan of action would be to flood ebay with auctions for $.01 that just link people here where they could get free upgrades and help. Really, the only way to stop people from doing this is to destroy their market and cut into their profits.

Most of the "mods" we do to our phones probably break several law. I.e most of all the 6.1 cooked roms are, or the w.m 6.0 updates to a 5.0 phone, ripping pie 6.1 out and distributing, the leaked mogul update, and that, that we can not speak of aka palm threaded messaging. If your problem with the auction is that he is doing something illegal, then fine, yes he is, but those who live in glass houses.......

I have been hacking and modding phones for years, even worked for a local mobile phone dealer unlocking and reprogramming boost phones to work with nextel sims. You should learn not to judge people when you dont know the facts. How do you know that he didn't build his own rom? Is he ripping people off? absolutely not. Look at his feed back rating...100% positive...every SUCKER that payed him to mod their phone was completely satisfied.

I once saw a guy on ebay selling his new discovery.... he found a way to turn water into a solid material , and he was selling said material for 5 bucks, he also stated that during transport it might convert back into a liquid but he will include step by step instructions to recreate his discovery..... He sold hundreds of these, and every buyer left positive feedback and said how creative he was....not a single person gave his secrete away!
