Re: HTC mobility Black splash..Where?
The animated startup should be named WMStartup_ani.gif and placed in the \WINDOWS folder on your device using a file manager that has the ability to overwrite files (Resco Explorer is what I use). (Note: /HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/StartupAnimation/GIFFile registry key points to this file. You can also disable it by changing Enabled to 0 for those interested.)
The static splash screen is actually shown twice, once with rom/radio information, then immediately afterwards without that information. You can actually use two different splash images if you like or use the same one (default). However, I have only used the kitchen in order to change these (because it is so easy). I will defer to someone who has done it manually to provide the details on what to name the files and where to place them. |

HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\DelayPerFrame.. ...80
HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\Enabled........ ......1 HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\NAME OF YOUR GIFFILE......wherever you saved it HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\Volumn......... ......1 |
This post has been thanked 1 times. |

Re: HTC mobility Black splash..Where?
custom splash screens are possible. i've seen several done for an 8125, so i tried the ones that worked for it, and they worked for my mogul. lol
