Any luck with IrDA on 6.1?

I am seeing that alot of people are having issues with the Ifrared on the 6.1 ROMs. I have searched through the 9,000 pages that is no2chem's 6.1 thread :-p but haven't found any answers on if anyone has fixed it? Basically I need to back up my Titan's numbers to my Chocolate and Blackberry (work has me carrying alot of phones now :-p) yet our Cellebrite machine and my phone bluetooth refuse to play nicely. So I am kinda hoping to use IrDA but not having any luck with getting it working. I have tried a few registry hacks but no luck. I have beam enabled in my settings, but it shows as off in my com manager and I can't turn it on. Anyone have any suggestions?

No IrDA does not work, however the bT beam has been fixed.

-Added drivers for IR. Beaming over IR does not work but may be useful for testing Remote Control apps, etc.
Please redownload if you downloaded manually for the above changes to be added.

-Internet Sharing is now mandatory. Will not be available as an option, but is still built in.
-Fixed issues with selections.txt
-Fixed issue with cleartype being on for poutlook threaded mode. The cleartype option in buildOS now controls both.
-Fixed epst.epst duplicate file warning.

OEM and Shareware updates:
-S2U2 updated to 1.0
-S2P (Slide2Play) added
-WMWifiRouter removed for now by request. A new special edition will be released soon.
-Set Scrollbar to 9 re-added. Was removed by mistake.
-Today Clock updated. Now supports color and font size registry entries.
-Fixed duplicate file in Touch Keyboard

Currently available for manaul download.
If you download manually, you will need the PPCGeeks_OEM.rar, 000_Shareware.rar
and the .rar + selections.txt for the kitchen you plan to use. File sizes and MD5 hashes should match those found next to each file.

or if you dont want to reflash -
New String Value=
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Obex]
"protocols"="bth"

gives you BT receive and BEAM functionality in the COMM Mgr.

it was actually enough for me to donate.
seems silly but it was a glorious event when i did that regedit and then made a successfull transfer.
i have spoken with the oracle. and now know my way.
