Open Active Sync to where it shows you the Curent Status (as you quoted above). Click the right softkey (Menu) and select Schedule. From there your "Sync During" settings shoudl be set to "As Items Arrive" in both fields. Good luck and let me know if that does not solve it. |

Re: Not receiving emails as they arrive with new ROM
I'm having this same problem after the ROM update. Everything was working fine until then. I even tried a hard reset and still doesn't work.
Did you ever get it to work for you? |

Re: Not receiving emails as they arrive with new ROM
I had loaded up No2Chem's 5067 kitchen ROM and had it running perfectly EXCEPT for this problem - it seemed to pick up email when it felt like it - througout the day it would work for a while, then go several hours without working, then it would work again. All server settings were doublechecked and "items as they arrive" was the setting (same as all the other roms I have loaded up). It's too bad as I really liked the performance/memory management of this software.

I am running N2C's 5067 and have no issues with connections to my Exchange server...

Re: Not receiving emails as they arrive with new ROM
Here is what I've had to do to get "As Items Arrive":
I'm assuming for the moment that your webmail address is https://webmail.domain.com and your exchange server is called exserver or exserver.domain.com. Replace with actual names as necessary. 1. Connect to your PC with ActiveSync. 2. Using ActiveSync on the PC, see if there is an Exchange server specified. If so, delete it. 3. Using ActiveSync on the PC, add a new server and use the exserver or exserver.domain.com. If one format doesn't work, try the other. Also make sure to UNCHECK the SSL box. 4. Enter username and password as necessary and let synchronization occur while still connected to the PC. 5. When the synch is complete, disconnect from the PC. 6. On the 6800, open ActiveSync, tap Menu and Configure Server 7. Change the server address to webmail.domain.com and CHECK the SSL box. 8. Tap next and enter password if prompted and after the sync "As Items Arrive" should work. I know this sounds like a pain, but it has worked for me without fail since the Apache. |
