Smile gps on moguel

i have the stock rom on my phone wha can i do to get the gps working for my google maps app and etc without getting a new rom and deleting all my phones info? is there a way to download or install a new radio app so the gps will work?

There are various options to backup the data on your phone so you dont lose it, ie outlook, spb backup, ect. If you do you rom change you will lose everything

I think Dotfred's PIM backup was recommened in the form on how to update under the Mogul/Tytn form. I used Yahoo Go! as my back up for contacts and calander, everything else I saved the .cab and password for and enjoy reinstalling it, tweakers habit I guess.

To specifically answer your question: No. GPS functionality/unlock is much more than just the radio.
