First time ROM flasher
 

Just a quick question...

My ultimate goal is to run No2Chem's NueROM 2.0, and to do this I plan on following the instructions here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17667.

My #1 concern is backing up my contacts, and I have PIM backup and made a backup file from it but I am reading that people are having trouble restoring when upgrading from wm 6 to wm 6.1 is this true? is there a better backup program or will this work for me?

also please let a noob know any other important info I might need that that thread does not cover!

Just use the contacts sync with activesync or Windows Mobile device center (if on Vista) is works flawlessly for me with contacts.

I have never had any issues with using PIM back up on WM5/WM6/WM6.1 phone. Just do your flash and when your done run PIM and restore not backup and you'll be fine.
