As far as where to run a speedtest, I find speakeasy.net/speedtest is faster than speedtest.net and tends to be more accurate.

question - is there a way to determine for sure if your geographical area is a Rev. A area?

Hey bro, when in that screen. Press view info, highlight the section that states data parameters. That's where Rev. A. is at. You must have gone in edit, MSL. to make changes, otherwise your just viewing what's there.

The screen shot I posted IS from the Data Parameters page...that is why I am confused, I DO NOT have a REV A setting? wierd...I do have the updated ROM and Radio though...What did I miss?

Did you do a Sprite Restore after loading the new ROM? It will remove the Rev. A setting from the EPST.

I upgraded to the 3.35 ROM and Radio and then loaded NoChem's 5051 build. I found that the 5053 build was very lagy and locked up alot. Anyways, I don't see the Rev A logo either. I did do a sprite restore but i did the ROM one. and only updated the personal databases and email. should i not have done that?

Usually the ROM option on Sprite Restore would have worked properly...but in this ROM it removes the Rev. A setting.

LOL I tried everything with Sprite.

Long story short, I had to start from scratch, a lot of error/conflicts came, even in my barest "Safe Mode". :p

I did about three tests at three different servers. once through on disable and once on enable.
download speeds were about the same maybe a 5% variance up or down.
Upload speeds were also pretty consistent.

I did notice that my Ping times were twice as long though.
100-175 ms - disable
200-325ms - enable
