Does anyone else have this problem?
After I upgraded my ROM to DCD's latest, whenever I try dialing from contacts or speed dial, I get this error message:
"Press END key to stop intercept tone" and it never dials. Anyone got any ideas? |
Re: Does anyone else have this problem?
I am seeing the same problem as well, when I dial directly from my contacts. My analysis so far is:
1. The problem only happens when dialing directly from Contacts. 2. All the phone numbers stored in my contacts are synchronized using MS-Outlook Exchange server, where I have all numbers stored beginning with a "+" sign. 3. If I dial the number directly from the keypad without the + sign, it goes through fine. 4. I had installed Packet8's Mobile Talk application, and I was thinking that could be causing the interception. Even after un-installing the application, the problem has not gone away. 5. While I had Packet8's Mobile Talk installed, it would correctly intercept the international numbers, and dial them using the Packet8 Mobile Talk application. So, the only solution I see right now, is to somehow remove the "+1"" from the US phone numbers, and leave it for the others. That is going to be a really tedious job for 300+ contacts !!! |
Re: Does anyone else have this problem?
I think I found the solution to the problem. Try Enabling the "North American Dialing" on Phone Menu options->Services->Plus Code Dialing

Re: Does anyone else have this problem?
Mine doesn't have that option listed. I am on Verizon's XV6800. But I have noticed it only happens with phone numbers that have a +1 in front of it.

Re: Does anyone else have this problem?
The easiest way is to tell Outlook on you PC to not append a + to every number. This will clean it up for you.
