3.16 works fine for me. GPS works, everything else with tweaks is is about as good as any previous release. No biggie. Woule be nice to get the "official" version someday, though, but not holding my breath there.

I agree with that in some cases these things are "leaked" on purpose. At least they didn't pull a Micro$oft and put out "approved" releases that are full of bugs and wait for the screams of thier newly appointed beta testers (pretty much the world).

Since I'm pretty sure they monitor these forums, I think what may end up happening is that they will keep what is good and kill what is bad and then put it out as their "official" release.

IMO, even with some of the minor bugs of the leaked ROM, it still beats the heck out of the stock ROMs. Voice clarity, speed, applications, and so forth simply outweigh staying with the stock ROM.

I'm confused, what's the point of this thread?
3.16 was always beta... wasn't the original leaked rom riddled with "BETA" watermarks and the like?
I don't recall all the details, but I think that some dedicated souls around these forums spent a lot of time taking the word "BETA" out, so that we could use it without being reminded of what it is. I'm sorta shocked that anyone thought this was an official release... Doesn't the 3.16 thread that is stickied on this forum say "NOT OFFICIAL RELEASE" in the title?

I really don't mean to sound condescending, I'm just wondering if I missed the point or something here...

No, I just found it interesting that sprint acknowledged that a pirated copy of a rom exists and they are calling it a beta. One would think that they would either 1. ignore it. 2. act like the devil himself had released this rom in order to eat babies and take over the world, perhaps I'm just used to the MPAA's reasoning. Whatever the case I think its great that a huge company has taken notice of this community here. I dont think anyone thought it was an official rom, but should feel proud that sprint knows we're here.

Thats a load of poo as the leaked rom is on every Mogul on display in 2 sprint stores in my area.

And you believed them? Follow the patterns. We were using windows XP by the time Windows 2000 came out and 3 weeks before XP came out we were on releases of Longhorn I mean vista :-D and before that well I don’t know I didn’t own a computer.

They have to tell us this stuff they cant go around going oops we did it on purpose. If everyone wants it what is a more valuable cost efective way to figure it out then us?
