Alltel new ROM help.

I flashed the new DCD rom/radio but now I cant connect to EVDO. I did the *228 and did option 2 and 3 but I still only get 1x service where I normally got EVDO. (aka my house)

Any help on how I can get back on EVDO would be great!

Thanks again

Re: Alltel new ROM help.

Things to try:

Soft reset
Hard reset
PRL change
Confirm connection settings

What version of DCD's are you running?

Re: Alltel new ROM help.

I am running DCD 2.1.0

How do you change the PRL?
I tried the soft reset but not a hard reset yet. Will it go back to stock if I hard reset?

Re: Alltel new ROM help.

Your device will not revert back to original rom after hard reset. But a hard reset may clear the issue.

Also, you can visit here Corolada's PRL page and download any of many PRL's. If you have the EPST in your \windows dir you can upload it through there. You can also change it by hitting *775 (I think). You may need to research this a little to be sure. But once you download a PRL to your device, you can initiate it by any of these (2) means...

Can I just ask an off the wall question I really havent found an answer too yet...what in the name of god is the PRL? Lol, maybe a noob question, but I cant find anything in search that directly answers it.

Check my site: http://www.the-answerman.com/sidlist/prl/

All the Alltel PRLs are there, along with instructions on how to change your PRL and an explanation on what changing your PRL will and will not do for you.

Re: Alltel new ROM help.

I switched my PRL to 40036 and 30031 and neither of them worked. When it did show that I had EV I would get the message that my phone was unable to connect. Most of the time the EV bars will dissappear then it will switch to 1x and connect. Maybe I should try a diffrent ROM? Oh and I also tried a hard reset(

Did you check your connection settings?

Start-->Settings-->Connections--Connections-->Manage existing connections

What information do you have under Manage existing connections?
