I've found that you've got to wait about a minute or two for it to "wake up". You should also use the AstroGPSLauncher app. It works really well with TomTom.

i am having the same problem with my xv6800. i have tomtom 6 and when i fire up gps viewer and open gps on com4 4800 baud rate and open up tom tom i go and set up the gps settings which are other nema gps on com4 4800 baud rate and it still says no gps device. now one time i got it to work for 2 seconds and i got a fix on 4 satellites and then it just went back to no gps device. i havent got it to work since. i am also using RdZLyZs custom ROM(WM6.1) dizzlev1.2021 rom version. please help us. thanks guys

You mentioned you had it set to other NMEA GPS and Com 4 / 4800. I have mine set to Other Bluetooth GPS Receiver (Com 4 / 4800) and it works fine. It's a long shot and probably unlikely but see if that makes a difference.

astroGPS is definitly the way to go. My setting are NMA 9600 com 4 which someone showed me and it works. hope this help

tomtom for me always take a lil bit of time, and usually doesnt get the sat signals unless im actually driving, it rarely aquires it when im still...
