Can I use any ol' free CAB maker to...
pull an app or 2 out of the Kitchen RAR's & load them manually? I can see em in there, but when I pull em out they're not "CAB"-ized, they're individual files.

should work.
You wouldnt include the rgu or dsm file in the cab though. Just include the exe, dll, etc. file(s). You would have to look in the rgu file to see what, if any, reg edits are done. You would have to manually enter them in the cab file. Make sure that you have all the names exactly right since you will want them to replace existing registry entries, also thats where the program will be directed to.
