Make sure you install the certificate cab included in the zip or that will happen. Install cert cab, install led driver cab, reboot. If you have installed that and still get the issue, let me know what ROM you are using. |

Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
so apparently i've gone crazy and wrote an intermediate LED driver that should work for _ANY_ HTC device....
after I write a configuration tool for it, i'll release it. =) some things you can do include... control which leds turn on/off make different leds flash change the flash frequency (...i think) not need to replace rilphone and other system dlls very lightweight |
Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll

My battery now says 99%. There is no psychotic blinking green led. If HTC ever gets off their butt and releases the final gps/rev-a rom, it will be perfect. Whee! (So the phone is just sitting on my desk right now, and really its amazing how nice it is to have it sitting FACE UP instead of face down. Its just sitting there. Inert. Dark. Lemme just turn it back on to see if its still alive...) |
Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
yep... led driver pretty much tested and working. hopefully theres no memory leaks. ... expect a release soon.

Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
♦Use nueLED now instead as it allows you to stop the service LED, all other LEDs and has more features to come.

Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
Stroths,
Did you mean to post http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=18871 instead? The one you linked to is a battery.dll thread. |
Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
Is rilphone.dll no longer existent in the new ROM? So this method willno longer work? Does nueLED still work?

Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
1.5 has caused a problem on my xv6800.
I had version 1.2 installed and it was working. I uninstalled it, did a soft reset, and installed version 1.5. Now, when I try to run this new version, after a few moments it displays an error dialog. The title is, " Corrupt configuration detected" and the text inside the dialog itself says, "We have detected you have registry entries are corrupted. We can clean these for you but you will lose all your settings. Clean the registry?", followed by "OK" and "Cancel" buttons. Pressing the "OK" button produces a new error display. This time, it's not a dialog, it's an entirely different display. It says, "An unexpected error has occurred in nueLEDConfig.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information." The Details screen states that nueLEDConfig.exe caused an UnauthorizedAccessException at Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey.Win32Error() and a more... What's going wrong here? Thanks, Tim |

No2Chem, I know this is not the place but it is kind of related...
I think Sprint has a new log-on or something because NueMinutes gives a "network error" every time it trys to log on. tsp |

[quote=no2chem;187584]Hello,
I've created a replacement rilphone.dll that no longer flashes the blinking green led that you have a signal. You can find it at http://www.weienterprises.com/nue , it must be installed to ROM. Where or what do we do with the battery.dll? TIA, tsp |
Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
battery.dll is something totally different and separate from the rilphone.dll.
|
Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
Is there anyway to backup the nueLED settings so they can be recovered after upgrading a ROM?
|
Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
In response to page 1 (haven't read the rest yet) ....I'm gonna vote for .... leave the LED killer as a CAB and not builtin to the ROM itself... I could care less how many times they LED's blink. They are there to indicate functions. No matter if they blink 1 time per hour or 10 times per minute, I want to know what's going on with my $500 phone.

Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
Please tell me how to install this file to my ROM. I just got this phone and the light is annoying me. I downloaded the file and tried to put it in a few places but nothing works. I am new to the pda phones and would appreciate any help. thanks!

Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
include or not include, just provide a cab to go the other way, and everyone is happy

Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
Does anyone know the address od the red led? I have tried but can't seem to find it on the #itan.

Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
Is there a way to change the following:
Charge Light/ Notification light from the orange on the right side, to the blue on the left side? |

Re: alternative to LED killer - replacement rilphone.dll
I had used NueLED before on nuerom v2.2, but I don't think you can make the blue led stay SOLID. It can only blink as fast as it does for bluetooth (which is very very slow). I want to keep it solid. Is this possible?
