Something I'm confused about. Everyone is complaining about the Mogul and the Touch, and the Tilt, and Sprint and ATT, and Verizon...

But everyone is basing this on their experiences...

Consumer Reports makes their articles based on consumer surveys.

Where is the actual study? The clinical, objective study. The one that says "Sprint's Network has crappy signal, Verizon or ATT is better". The one that really says "HTC phones are a scam, buy something else".

Everyone here is passionate about their "opinion", and doesn't want their thoughts to be cast aside. I understand that.

But lets be realistic here. ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Alltell, ect have us by the short hairs when it comes to contracts.

I realize this means you "feel" you can't just pick up and move to a new carrier at will.

But the bottom line is still that if you don't like a phone, you buy a new one. If your within your 30 days, you exchange it. Otherwise, you can hate Sprint, or ATT or whoever all you want, but truly, unless you can prove some negligence, your SOL. And what you perceive as a lack of communication to you means squat. You may not like it, but they (what ever company) are under no obligation to tell you anything.

I mean think about it, how many things happen in your home, or work, or organizations your part of that just don't happen the way they should or are scheduled?

If my WoW guild is any indication, the best laid plans are guarenteed to go awry.

Besides... If anyone could make a better PPC Phone, don't you think they'd bring it to market?

Even the iPhone can't compete, because its not meant to. Its a different niche.

So please, everyone, get over it.

That letter at the top of this page from Sprint was stunning.

Stunningly retarded.

Thesian: This thread wouldn't be so long (and tempers wouldn't be so short) if Sprint and HTC would communicate more effectively with their customers. If Sprint would take what they spend on national advertising for one day (it must be considerable) and put it into keeping their CS reps informed, it just might go a long way towards resolving customer complaints.

As to who has the best signal, honestly it depends on where you live - sometimes right down to the neighborhood. I dropped AT&T because I couldn't get a good signal at my house. I had to go stand next to a window to make a call, and it would still get dropped half the time. Had no problems inside a building at the place I was working at the time. After I started working from home I switched to Sprint so I could get a better signal. I have no complaints about their signal or their coverage area. (ETA: Someone who lives elsewhere may have issues, but I presently do not.)

Well as a Cell Site Tech that happens to be employed by said company and a Mogul owner I can tell you need 2 things to have a Rev A capable Mogul.

1. Rev A firmware. All roms prior to 3.X are Rev 0.
2. Rev A cell market. I can only speak for Ohio Area, all cell sites that are owned by Sprint are Rev A EVDO in the state of Ohio. Ashtabula County Ohio is run by IPCS (a carrier not owned by sprint but handles rural markets and is attached to the Sprint Network) is only a 1X area. EVDO has not been implemented there.

Cant speak for the rest of the country or for the company, just the facts as I know them to be.

Ive just become very bored with my phone as it is lacking all the good features. The ones that i would take advantage of the most are the ones not working. The part that bugs me the most is all the canned lame responses. I would rather just be told to go screw and that they have no real idea about any of it "youll get it when you get it"

Doesn't anyone else find that line from that e-mail hilarious?
