Sweet!!! =D> So, does your license plate say BAKNTYME, OUTATIME, or is it just a barcode?!?

Just a few notes based on my own experience:
  1. Read through at least half of this thread so you'll know some of the possible "gotchas" ahead of time.
  2. Do this on a 32-bit machine. The relocker won't work on a 64-bit system and you may get stuck in the bootloader.
  3. Don't do this when you're in a hurry. You'll want to have a couple of hours free, partly in case of trouble, and partly to have time to play with new features! ;-)
Yep, I got stuck in the bootloader last night because I have a 64-bit machine. I had taken the time to read through a bunch of the posts, which helped me figure out what to do.

It was worth it to see the GPS lock in. Okay, so it thinks I'm next door, but considering I'm not moving and I'm in the corner of the home office that's just a few yards from the house next door, that's about as close as I was expecting.

Now to go restore contacts and software!

WOW!!! What a refreshing respite from the "Help I bricked my phone because I did not want to read about upgrading before blindly trying it" posts.

May the Schwartz be with you!

No, I don't want to be ostentatious...just a regular old state license plate.

Thanks, and with you as well!

Actually, I did leave out the wailing, gnashing of teeth, renting of garments and general cussin' that took place after I got stuck in the bootloader. ;-)

It really wasn't THAT bad. Just a little frustrating. But there's some very good information here. Thanks, all!

You are in the bootloader...this is where you load the ROM and radio from. Read the guide.

In fact, read all the guides. Check ALL the stickies.

Just got my phone about a week ago and was a bit apprehensive to do any of this stuff. I said screw it and got it flashed tonight and man that was easy with these instructions. Thanks a lot for the guide.
