PPCGeeks - No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

I ended up chosing just the 5060 build in the kitchen, and things look good so far. Thank you so much, as things seem to be running really fast! My question is: When I click on Welcome Center, or Getting Started on the Today Screen, it tells me"The file 'welcomecenter' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trust certificate, ..." Can someone kindly help? Thank you.

You must include the .NET framework in the kitchen...

I can only get weather panel to work with 5055.

I have tried everything. Can anyone explain what might be going on? I have tried it without any customizations. It freezes on the green screen after the first reboot after installation.

I have that ver and running 5060 and works fine for me... What I don't do is have weather panel run under uc. I did and it locked up. Install it manually and remove it from sdconfig.txt

I have removed from my UC. I instakll manually and it still freezes on green screen like above poster stated. The same thing happens when i install Pocket Plus.

Odly, if I DO NOT install to the device and install to the Storage Card instead, it works.

It will not work if installed to device. it only works if installed to the Storage Card. might want to see if that works for you.

Any idea why this is happening? this is a new thing with 5060 for me.

I'm a NOOB! I downloaded LennySh_No2Chem_5060.exe.

I don't know what to do with it. Could someone please explain to me what I'm supposed to do with this file? Do I need to download any additional programs to flash this rom? Should I download the PPCgeeks kitchen? Is that what I need?

I'm on an extremely slow internet connection (USN ship underway) so If I can flash the rom with this only it would be great.

Nickles: I didn't see that anywhere in the customization of the rom. Can you point me in the right direction please? From the BuildOS updater, I chose (just) the no2chem 6.1m file and checked it off; left all others unchecked. Could this be why? Appreciate your help. Thanks.

Is there a way to get just the threaded messaging function? I upgraded, but ended up going back to the stock WM6 rom. I would love to have the threaded text, but I dont want to lose MMS functionality like most of the apps you can buy online say you will.

in fact, you'll NEED some of the things, in order for your phone to work properly (MMS as an example)..

the .NET selections are under the NETCF section.. see attachment.
frankly i don't know why they are optional.. lots of MS stuff (Live Search as example) wil not run without it.

Can you confirm the date and version of WeatherPanel that you are using with 5059 and hopefully 5060?
