PPCGeeks - No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

I cant actually enable BEAM in the 10 button comm manager - it just clocks, then refreshes, with the BEAM icon still off.
but Beam is set 'to receieve all beams'.. this is the most frustrating part of my upgrade. i can't seem to get this working, and posts everywhere some people say it works, some say it doesn't.
Even the experts say it doesnt work. now you say it does .

I did select the SDautorun package. Hell, I'm going to try it again.

I selected SDautorun in the 5060 kitchen as well but it didn't run when I flashed. I haven't flashed again since so I haven't tested this any more.

i found that in 5059 it works, but 5060 it doesnt... i mean i try to beam **** in 5059 and it doesnt work either....

Somehow multi-quote doesn't work...this was in reply to someone saying that weatherpanel caused their ppc to hang on reset at the 3rd splash (green, sometimes) screen.

I'm having the same issue. Worked fine under 5048. Now using an official kitchen 5060 build. Went back 7 or 8 times and pinpointed it to the weatherpanel install. Not too crazy of a build- I used oemizer, a couple other checks....installed weather panel after the fact (not with UC or anything like that- manually). Looks like it's incompabitle with something....dang...this was one of my favorite apps.....

How does SPB weather compare???

Same issue here. I am unable to receive OBEX File Transfers. I can send files from the 6800. I just cant send file to the 6800. It's as if the OBEX FTP Server profile is missing or disabled.

+1 i really miss beam at this point too...but i'm sure n2c will get it working again in the next build.

Hey All,

I'm using No2Chem's 5059 rom and I am running into a reoccurring problem regarding messaging. Sometimes when I type a text in landscape, the text stops showing on the screen even though it's still registering what I type. If i switch back to portrait, the text shows up and I can go back into landscape and continue typing, it will just disappear again randomly (almost like the text box freezes while I type in landscape mode). This only seems to happen with the native threaded text messaging application in WinMo 6.1. Any ideas/suggestions/reg edits to fix this?
