holding off on porting xip until i get some more information about these builds. It runs stable with new xip anyway. uploading basekit, and then seeing if the kaiser's video drivers work for us...

Anyone else get random radio noise coming out of the speaker, even with the volume down? I was checking out the new flash video bundle when it started. I did have wi-fi on, but even when I switched it off and was back on EVDO I could hear it. Weird. And loud, too. I rebooted and didn't hear it anymore.

no2chem, i had heard in 6.1 beta days that the build numbers were bunk, and CE OS would be 'reset' at release. i ported the new xip and found CE OS 5.2.18128. however, the true source rom of this OS is i think a couple months newer than the previous one. grab my xip if you want it, i owe you one...

ooh, thanks dcd, that explains it. I've noticed CE OS 5.2.19199 floating around though, did you port the new xip from the vodafone rom?

I looked at some guy's custom rom, I think he was like Rdylzy, or something, and one of his screenshots, which he said he took from DCD's 2.2 rom, included what looked like the new deepfish browser.
I'm wondering if, now that this is based on the official rom, it includes the new browser? I remember that the leaked 6.1 did not, in fact many claimed PIE was slower.
