I still am unable to pair my bluetooth stereo headset with these ROM's :( It works with the stock 3.35, just not with no2chem's custom ROM's. I was hoping 59 would be different.. :( Bummer!

Which headset? I haven't had any problems with my Jawbone of Jabra BT500.

hey no2chem, with all your infinite wisdom and abilities, do you know of a way to transfer saved texts from Cody's Threaded SMS to the wm6.1 stock? I know having the other app is slowing down your ROM a bit but I can't lose my old messages.

Beer is on me if you pass through Denver...

Two things I've noticed with 5059:

1) The "contacts" softkey within the phone app doesn't display "Contacts" properly but it functions just fine (pressing the screen as well as the softkey calls up the contacts app)

2) No "smart" dialing :( That is, trying to spell out the name of a contact in the dialer does not produce a list of the possible matches...does that make sense?

Just a heads up, this build is, as the trend clearly shows, the best yet!

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

Okay Folks,

today was a very humbling day. After I was able to get the new kitchen started I was extremely happy. Afterall, this is something that we've been wanting for awhile and now the awesome chefs have done it. So now that I have this almighty kitchen the task to build my favorite ROM came forth. I built 3 ROMs with each one having all of the tools that I would ever need.

To my surprise, I was pushing about 80 megs per ROM and after installing them, I would only 6 megs of program memory left. So I sit here at my laptop humbled and amazed.

Although the kitchen provided tremendous power on the front-end, it is what the chefs do on the back-end that is the real treasure.

So, to all you chefs that built the kitchen and continue to build entire ROMs, HATS OFF to you. You are doing an awesome job. One which is way above my head but hope to learn a mere tenth of what you do.

I'm getting the 404 error trying to download the latest basekit. Could somebody host an alternate link?

I've used several kitchens but have to confess that I'm confused. If I use No2Chem's basekit instead of the standard one, what actually changes? The operating system/tweaks, etc...? If so, does that mean I can use his basekit but still cook my own files into the rom? Lastly, it I use his basekit, should I avoid "registry tweaks" since they are already in his basekit?

I thought I understood this until others were mentioning that several apps (advanced config, remote desktop, etc...) were missing with 5059. Doesn't make sense to me since I thought the kitchen controlled what apps were cooked in and those apps are included in my kitchen which I just updated using the updater.

Thanks for helping!

I noticed the overwrite questions ... rather than risk starting over, before I run BuildOS, I copy the entire directory ... brute force ignorant step, but it makes me feel safe

:)

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

thx, MrHappy & rgv_warrior

1.) BuildOS.MSI
2.) basekit_5059_fix.rar

a.) run BuildOS.msi
b.) follow instructions on ppckitchen.org (install, login, get updates, etc. [FOLLOW the instructions])
c.) download basekit_5059_fix.rar to kitchen dir

d.) copy
....... Titan_No2Chem_5054_WM6.1 Selections.txt
===>>>
....... Titan_No2Chem_5059_WM6.1 Selections.txt
e) edit
....... Titan_No2Chem_5059_WM6.1 Selections.txt

Second line should be updated to read "KitchenDir=Kitchens\basekit_5059_fix.rar:;

f) open up (inside of the archive) basekit_5059_fix.rar (the file) "cleanselections.txt"

copy every line after

"SelectedMainSplashImage=320x320,6.1_welcomehead.9 6 .png"

paste it on to the bottom of "Titan_No2Chem_5059_WM6.1 Selections.txt"
