RGV, no... the IR is not always on with 5058. I use IR a lot and have actually missed having it.

Hey guys. After installing 5058 my GPS doent work. It just stays on the seeking GP satellites screen. It never finds any satellites. I am using goggle map. I was using sprints official rom before and it would find satellites in like 10 second. Any ideas? Thanks.

run IOTA and it should sync you up with vision services. You should then be able to get it to work.

Are you saying it just doesn't work at all? I'm noticing that the icon is lit when I check it in the comm mananger.

iota is in your settings go to settings-phone-services--internet-get settings then run iota.

I don't think IR has worked on any of the ROMs that have 6.1. I know that all the flashed roms (other than stock) have not had IR work. My laptop systems would pick up my phone any time I got close to them before I got off stock.

go to your file manager and look in the extended ROM area. There should be a cab for IOTA. Once you install it go to Setting, Personal, Phone, Internet, Get Settings, and start. You will see IOTA on the top bar. It will go away when it is complete. Then try your GPS.

IOTA.cab is in ur extended_rom. Bc I dont think it came installed in 5055. I dunno about newer versions. Then u go into settings_phone_services_internet. Even though the button is there, it may not do anything until u run the cab first.
