Communication error
 

Hi guys. I'm still having trouble flashing this rom. I've unlocked the phone. However, whenever I run the RUU, it starts the proscess, gets to the percentage screen, then activesync drops my connection for some reason. I then get the communication error. I've tried this on XP and Vista. Any ideas?

dang, the only thing stopping me from trying this is the lack of a transcriber

Are you 100% sure the phone is unlocked (Does it say Olipro 2.0 on the color-banded boot loader screen)?

Hey All -

I am a long time PPC user, but new to the Mogul. I am trying to flash JD's ROM to my PPC, but it just errors out. I had no problem flashing from the official 2.09 to 2.17, but when I run the ROM Update Utility that is included in JD's release (not the BETA version), I get the multi colored screen, then it changes to percentage completed. It doesn't get past 0% then says it cannot connect.

Anyone else had this problem or is there something I am doing incorrectly?

Please let me know as I would love to use this ROM.

Hey Drew, Thank you for that. I thought I had already unlocked it, but I guess I never actually did it! Oops!!

The ROM is great! I just have a couple questions for anyone who may know:

When I want to get into text messaging (not pics or vids), how do I get there? The messaging button takes me to the "Select an Account" screen, but the only options are Pics/Vids or New Email Account? Isn't there a way to get back to standard messaging?

Is it possible to change the appearance of the clock? Can I change the font?

That's it for now...I am sure I may have a few more questions for this thread.
