What's with EL30?
 

Anyone hear anything about EL30? Supposed to be rolling out OTA from Sprint in the immediate future according to a post on another site?

From what I hear its removal of carrierIQ..might include some other hot fixes *shrug*

CiQ has been removed for 2 leaks on touch so epic still has it?

Well this isn't a leak this is an official OTA.

They also changed the phone answering to side to side instead of up and down

Just FYI, this EL30 update broke the ability to answer the phone. Noticed the screen change but if you slide to answer, it never answers. Sprint has been contacted. They say that there is no fix for it, no rollback etc. We have to wait for an official fix. Real nice huh?

A press/hold on the green then slide to the middle (where the photo of the person calling) seems to make it answer.

Today they started notifying me about OTAing EL30. I don't want an OTA because it will kill my root and CWM) but don't see any alternative custom EL-30 roms available yet. Will flashing the EL-30 modem (from EI22 to EL30 flashable for BML only! - xda-developers) stop the notifications?
