Anybody install the OTA Gingerbread update yet?

Yesterday, I received a notice from Sprint on my phone that a new update was available for installation.

But when I went to "Update Android" in "About Phone", it says my device is up-to-date (with Froyo).

Has anyone installed the OTA GB update yet?

Re: Anybody install the OTA Gingerbread update yet?

I just installed GB this morning and I haven't seen a difference in battery life, yet anyway.

Same here. Installed, however, Battery is lasting longer than my old version. Plus the "Android" engine is what is sucking battery life, not the display....

actually its sprint watching EVERY tap on screen you make thats why removing CiQ is so important which custom gb roms on ACS have removed.

I didn't know just what No CIQ was all about. Thanks. It came on the EI22 rom I flashed. My battery life is MUCH better now than with my previous GB-leak rom. I can go 2 days on a charge where before I was lucky to get 8 hours.

I take it there is no way to remove CiQ from the standard Gingerbread update?
