actually, if I remember correctly evdo authorization can be copied to another phone without touching the 'untouchable' numbers.. :grin: (i'll have to check)
did you have a pageplus phone you were getting info from or rather do you have a pageplus phone you can activate and get evdo? (preferably a smartphone)

Actually, I'm forcing 1xRTT right now. If I don't (or if I force EvDo), it simply won't connect. I wish I could troubleshoot it a little better, but unlike Windows Mobile, it just doesn't tell you what the heck it's doing (dialing, failed and not trying, waiting to try again, etc.), so I don't know where it's getting hung up at.

I seem to remember that verizon used another epst feild too for evdo, but i'm not sure.

that password is a goofy unicode that some notepad apps will screw up. on winmo I used phm notepad to copy/paste. the trick is it's usually tied to your device id, so another phone won't do much good unless you go underground...

I don't remember all the stuff I did in QPST, but I did struggle with usernames and passwords for quite some time. Even then I had to disable the proverbial Sprint "hands free activation" that plagued Windows Mobile.

Come to think of it, I did read several places about that one key that is needed to make EvDo work. Is the solution you proposed anything along the lines of the connection id/password stuff or the key? I wish I understood this stuff a bit better, but I need the settings for PagePlus/Verizon.
