Heimdall. program
need explanation on this Heimdall.
is it better than odin ??? is it only for linux ??? ( i got windows ) from what i read in xda post on the stock eh17 build is it easier to use than odin or more complicated more for " DEVS " ??? ( BTW IVE ALWAYS USED ODIN AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM ) but if something comes along thats better then i wud like to kno ... even ive seen that Heimdall. has been out since last yr, yet im now seeing it being posted as options to use THANX |

To explain things simply, odin is the tool Samsung uses to flash out phones.
Heimdall is a reverse engineering of Odin's protocol that creates an open source cross-platform alternative to odin. Aka think of it as a dev community version of odin. Its not meant specifically for devs though, anyone can use it. It works on all platforms including windows. Both accomplish the same thing so it boils down to preference for wndows users. |

I only use heimdall to flash kernels and odin to flash roms

Plus if you have a Mac, then heimdall is your friend. Odin and the rest are Windows only.
