New Swype Beta

So my Swype finally expired and forced me to install the latest beta. I was weary because I knew that word suggestions were a new feature and I didn't want them on my screen if it knew which word I was typing in. Sure enough, the feature was annoying, and even though I went into Swype settings and unchecked word suggestions, it kept showing up. Does anyone have a similar experience and know of a way to disable it? If not, what similar keyboard do you all use instead?

im on it now and killed it in settings/local/text/swype, never came back on.

That didn't work for me. I'll try the all-language version before I move on to something else.

So if anyone else searches this thread, I checked out the Swype forums and apparently this is a "feature" of the newer software. Disabling suggestions only disables tap suggestions but there will always be suggestions for swype inputs because the developers think this is the best way to ensure you get what you mean to type. A lot of people are unhappy though so hopefully they address this in the new release.
