Honeycomb is a Tablet only OS...They plan to merge Honeycomb changes into Gingerbread and create Ice Cream based on the 2...

Thats a little bit different..it has more to do it Google's development model rather then separating out mobile and tablet.

Well there won't be official but for a port maybe...overall though we don't benefit too much out of Honeycomb, at least not as much as Gingerbread...

Can you explain why? What are the things were going to benefit from with ginger? also i thought Honeycomb is just for tablets

In gingerbread we get Hummingbird optimizations. and better battery management.
