Windows7 mobile port for droid phone

i was wondering if anyone at all had heard of or knew if there was a Windows7 mobile port for the for droid phones
i remember there was a droid port for windows when i had a HTC TP but im looking to get windows7 on my epic 4g im not the biggest fan of the droid OS for many small reasons and would like to see my epic 4g running windows7 mobile rather than droid 2.2 so if any knows how to do this please post a link
to sum it up i want to scrap the droid OS on my phone and replace it with windows 7 mobile OR some kind of dual boot option

just wish phone providers would give us the buyer a choice of what OS we wanted on the product/hardware we were buying instead of forcing a OS on us that we may not want

thanks for the info

Re: Windows7 mobile port for droid phone

Windows 7 is so new I really doubt anyone would have ported it yet.
You know Sprint does have a HTC windows 7 phone you could get if you like it that much.

But I am willing to bet there is no port yet. Good Luck,
Force

Re: Windows7 mobile port for droid phone

no port and probably no chance. android can be ported to other devices because its open source. wp7 is not, so im sure microsoft would sue the balls off of the dev who sucsefully ported it.

Re: Windows7 mobile port for droid phone

Someone had asked this before and the response was NO and if i remember correctly no one is even working on it because if Micro$oft finds out the developer will be big time screwed.

Also no port yet but you can make it look like your running Wp7 theres many mods and there is also a Launcher in the market & on xda. The one in the market i believe its called Launcher 7 give it a try not sure if that would work for you but its a start.

if MS really wanted to sue somebody the DFT would've been sued for porting it to the HD2 They know about it but nothing has happened.

Having used Windows Phone 7 and now Android, I highly recommend you stick with Android. In my opinion, there is nothing about Windows Phone 7 worth leaving a flexible Android OS. That is, of course, if you want an iPhone made by Microsoft....

Re: Windows7 mobile port for droid phone

BTW, here is a launcher that looks a lot like Windows iPhone 7. I haven't tried it out, and probably will not:

Its not surprising..I mean you will always have traction...and most people that get WP7 from android know what they are going for..the biggest turn down of people going from WP7 to Android is the users that were hoping for winmo to continue...

I mean you have to understand..as a business user WP7 is unusable at this point...so its not even about preference..its about necessity...
