battery meter is way off. that was something I always had an issue with but never this bad. I'm at 61% per *#info & a tiny little slice is all that's missing from the meter

who designs these things & or changes them .... let's remove the bookmarks tab from the browsers menu, but add a brightness setting .... lol I can likely go on & on about things

I had the same problems with not being able to access the camera, the clock or ring tone settings. Just did the factory reset, as well, and things seem to be working now!! Whoohoo!

Just tried to use my gps today for the first time with new updae and its SLOW!! Just stayed at the seraching for gps. While I waited on my slow gps my gf pulled up on her evo and it started right up. Anybody else having gps issues? My gps worked jut fine on stock rom befre update

If you used update.zip method..factory reset..also get the app called GPS Status and clear and re-download GPS data

today i did a factory reset ... phone is still quite a bit buggy .. only thing i hoped for & was told would change is the keyboard input issue . . . it still sucks .... im looking to go backwards in time can anyone lead me to the direction of getting off 2.2 & back to 2.1 ??

When I had that issue..I just connected the PC so it recognizes in USB debug mode...and have Odin open..then I shut off the phone via the VOL UP+VOL DOWN+CAMERA+POWER..then do Power+1 to get into download mode..aka I have the wire connected at all times without disconnecting...this trick most of the time works for me when I have issues...

didnt work but thanks for trying .... im frustrated lol ... my damn computer will recognize the phone when plugged in with debugging enabled but doesnt show up if i go to open it to drag a file there .. one of them days

also, make sure use wireless networks is checked, gps and wifi is turned on(now ive gotten gps locks without wifi, but sometimes it wouldnt find me till i turned it on..hit or miss i guess)



but in unrelated news. has anyone did ##786# on stock eb13 rooted with cwm 2.5.5??? i did so for kix and when it restarted, i was missing like half of the stock apps. odin'd back to stock eb13 and all is well now...was jus wondering if sum1 knu why that wud happen

When I had this issue I had to go into the device manager and get windows to install the proper drivers. Another method you might try is using this: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

It's the EB13 exe. Install it and run it to the point of where it installs the drivers then cancel out of it, then try loading DI18 in odin.

Great, this froyo update really sucks. Had updated and internet was going very slow. Did a factory reset and now market won't download or install anything.. anyone else have that problem?

only issue I am having is randomly my ringtones stop working with ringo pro when I go check it shows unknown file so I have to unmount and re-mount the micro-sd card and it works

so i used my gps for the first time to get to another town in nebraska, worked like a charm and got me there. then on the way back i booted it up again to come back. and it told me i had 70 miles to go and was taking me a route i have never gone before, i was only 45 miles from where i needed to go and no matter how i changed it it would always say the same thing. even when i looked up a business to drive to which said was 44 miles away when it booted up it would say 70. i just had my friend grab his verizon phone to use to get us back. i made sure i didnt have any special settings on, like avoid interstate

Just for the record, z4root does NOT work with EB13. I tried it several times before a hard reset and then after. On all tries, it crapped out in mid-root attempt and required FC.
Gonna bite the bullet and try 1-Click 2.5.2 this weekend.

I'm having a problem with WIFI. Basically I press the button for wifi use and nothing happens. even when i go into the sittings and press there, nothing. there is a message that reads "error" that is under the wifi settings tab.

My Epic was so bad after the update, the Sprint tech said screw it and ordered me a new one! No bluetooth, random airplane mode, freezing, no gps, camera, and no pc connection detected when connected with usb. Sad part is, is that Sprint did my update manually for me in the store.

It doesn't matter who does the update..if update.zip method is used to update it is suggested to factory reset or else more then likely there will be issues.

I read the comments and am shocked. My Epic works fantastic after the update and I used the evil Samsung updater and then rooted.

Hey guys,

I'm having a few issues with my phone since the EB13 update, but I'll try to include as much info as I can so maybe you guys can help!

First of all, I didn't do the update OTA and also didn't do the update.zip method. I went to Samsung's site and downloaded the exe file that lets you update the phone and that worked fine.

My main Concerns/problems that came up are:

-.GIF animations no longer work in browsers (Either stock or Dolphin) and mind you, they worked fine in 2.1, and SOMETIMES work after I restart the phone.
-Weird Wifi error where I press Wifi in the notification window, it sits there, then if you go to settings it says 'error...'
- GPS STILL SUCKS ASS. It sucked on 2.1 for me and will randomly decided to just cycle like it's searching and not actually get a lock. Again, like with the .gif thing, sometimes if I restart it'll work like a charm. I already have GPS status, and even that isn't helping.
-Some keyboard response issues, but I can deal with that.
-Random slow downs or apps force closing.

I even tried contacting Samsung, and while they said they have heard some of these issues, they're "supposedly" fixing all of them, but in the meantime a factory reset should help. Has anyone actually done this? Does it work at all? And if so, do I just do it via the settings?

Lastly, (And sorry for the wall o' text) if anyone can recommend a good program to backup contacts/apps/sms with, it'd be much appreciated. I backed up my apps with Astro when I did the install, and the marketplace didn't recognize them, so I had to go back and manually re-download them so they'd show up in the marketplace app ALTHOUGH they were all re-installed.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, I don't want to Factory reset unless I know it'll work!

For GPS you may want to get the app called "GPS Status"..after doing a wipe you gotta redownload the AGPS data.

If factory reset does not work you can load up a custom rom, custom roms fix some of the issues you mentioned.

As for backing up, you can use Titanium Backup (must install its busy box) or MyBackup Pro..you can also backup using Clockworkmod and do advanced restore.

Edit: sorry I misread the GPS Status part...did you use the toolbox to clean the data and redownload it? are you using it indoors or out?

Ohhh Eb13 How I had longed for this.... and now I must delete you.

Battery is horrible but airplane mode toggle is still a must. Confirmed.

I didn't hear anyone complain about the laggy home screen load time and the random vibrate then double vibrate mystery crap I have been scratching my head about when pushing the home button. WTH? Anyone?

I am not happy with the way the txt messages show up in the call log... it BUGS ME! and that alone should make it a bug!
